DAVID IN THE METRO*

In the room of the museum Michelangelo's David leaves its footprints traces in multiple expressive means: installation, silkscreen, photography, video, text and music.

*Transportation system

The light footprint of Michelangelo's David, the actual size: 5.48 meters, is printed on the structure of the Metro of Medellín, whose construction is currently suspended and looks like ruins. The portentous columns offered to passers-by are perceived with a similar presence, due to its size, to the block of marble the great master sculpted and which is said he just removed the extra material that hid the sculptural form of David.

The luminous trail of David occurred at the main intersections of the street grid with the Metro’s overpass, addressing the citizens with an aesthetic message about the human being as point of reference over other visual elements of the context, by the imprint of the image to actual size, with white paint on the raw cement.
