SHROUD

An artistic project that was ‘kept on hold’, inspired in a press cut out, about the paquistani leader Benazir Bhutto, takes formal existence as a response to an invitation to "Exhibit the working table” in the French Alliance showroom, Medellín, October-December, 2011

Benazir Bhutto’s’ iconography on the web, her white cloak and the events of her life are a bottomless source of research and inspiration for this subtle homage.

The elements chosen to shape the proposal include the sketchbook, research on the WEB, the process of formalization with digital tools, and the three-dimensional sketch of the idea and its staging with a small format video projection in a silk piece and a documental- video about the attempting, (in small format whit sound), using -as required- only a 1 lineal meter wall space.

Shroud: Video projection on silk piece, 70 x 50 cm.

Duration: 6'00'', looping

Playing in small format video, documentaries about the attack, captured on internet.

Duration: 5'12'', looping
